Er hat die Primarschule in Samedan besucht und absolvierte das Gymnasium in St. Gallen. Nach dem Veterin\u00e4rstudium in Z\u00fcrich war Bivetti 30 Jahre als Tierarzt im Oberengadin und Bergell t\u00e4tig, daneben amtete er jahrelang als Gemeindepr\u00e4sident von Sils. Seit seiner Pensionierung im Jahr 2009 lebt er zwischen Sils, Fex und Castasegna.
